Tim Gaze and Rob Grosser have both enjoyed long careers as one of Australia's pre-eminent blues guitar and percussion duos.
Their early influences (ranging from Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder and Jimi Hendrix, to many legendary blues performers, such as Muddy Waters, Howlin’Wolf, BB King, Bukka White and Johhny Winter), along with some original tunes, provide a deep and colourful history from which to draw upon.
Tim Gaze formed his first band in 1967 when he was 13 years old. By the time he was 16, he was playing professionally in one of Australia's first progressive blues surf rock bands, Tamam Shud. His career spans over 35 years of blues addiction. You’ve heard him playing with Tamam Shud, Rose Tattoo, Renee Geyer, Gyan, Stevie Wright, and also The Hoochie Coochie Men with Jon Lord of Deep Purple, Jimmy Barnes. Tim also writes, records and produces songs and music for soundtracks.
Rob Grosser plays drums & percussion in styles ranging from classical to rock/pop and blues. Rob has worked with many artists, including Jeff St John, Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters) , Jan Preston, Don Hopkins,The Aliens, Pete Wells, Lucy Desoto & The Handsome Devils, Fiona Boyes as well as The Hoochie Coochie Men with Jon Lord.
Tim's vocals and his acoustic guitar style project the honesty and emotion of his immersion into the blues. This combined with the strong rhythmic approach of Rob’s unique percussive playing add up to a mighty big ‘less is more’
